Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum
You’ve probably visited at least one or two museums in your lifetime. Regardless, you’ve probably never seen anything like the Rosicrucian. Not only is this museum designed to mimic a beautiful Ancient Egyptian settlement coupled with a Moorish-style planetarium, but it expands the length of an entire city block. That’s right, there’s an entire city block dedicated solely to t his complex. It dates to the early 1920s and now includes a wide range of exciting attractions like the Rosicrucian labyrinth, a research library, alchemy exhibit, and alchemy garden.
Winchester Mystery House
Do you remember the Winchester movie that was a big hit at the height of the pandemic? It was one of the few movies released during that time. Besides this point, San Jose is the site of this real-life home. This late Victorian and Queen Anne-styled home is ornate, tile-clad, and features gables, chimneys, conical towers, and it was all constructed with no logical plan. Some doors open to walls, some steps that end halfway down or up, and illogical designs that seem like they come from the mind of a mad man. This disorder was supposed to bring some semblance to the countless deaths the Winchester rifles brought about.
Levi’s Stadium
Does it surprise you that someone tried to humorously dub this the Field of Jeans? This stadium has been home to the 49ers since the 2014 season. It has even hosted several Super Bowls. It was rumored that it took $1.3 billion to replace the 49ers fog-shrouded Candlestick Park. It became the first new stadium or its time to receive a Gold LEED certificate for sustainability. The wood used in the building of this stadium was sourced from responsibly cut bamboo. From the beams down to the wood fittings in the luxury suites. It’s a sight to be seen.
